elaine eckford
I work in illustration, telling stories through one image or a storybook. My drawings have an innocent, child like quality, although I tend to tell stories which have an underlying darkness or are obviously brutal, so that the juxtaposition of the two creates a sense of un-ease. I mix old and new media, using computers, ink jet printers, photocopiers, Japanese book binding techniques and collage. I received a BA (Hons) in Visual Communication: Illustration at The Glasgow School of Art in 2007. I currently have a studio space at The WASPSs Factory, Hanson Street, Glasgow. I am also a member of the Glasgow Craft Mafia. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BUYING ANY OF THE ART WORK PLEASE EMAIL ME.
